Food Sensitivities
When the body is exposed to certain foods, the immune system can react. There are two types of antibodies commonly produced in response to foods: IgE which causes an immediate allergic reaction such as hives or anaphylaxis and IgG which is a delayed reaction that may take hours to days to cause inflammation in the body.
The IgG delayed reaction makes it difficult to determine which foods are causing chronic symptoms. Food sensitivity testing allows you to unmask the hidden IgG food sensitivities and determine what foods are causing a problem for you.
Common symptoms of food sensitivities include:
• Gas, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, IBS, Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis
• Migraines or headaches
• Mood disorders such as anxiety, depression, bipolar
• Asthma
• ADD/ADHD
• Weight gain
• Skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, puffy skin
• Inflammation
• Joint pains, muscle stiffness, swelling
• Stuffiness, excess mucous production
• Chronic sinusitis, bronchitis, ear infections, getting colds more often
• Autoimmune conditions such as lupus, Rheumatoid arthritis
• High blood pressure
• Inflamed blood vessels
• Swelling around the eyes, dark circles under the eyes
